Hope that helps and that someone a bit more knowledgable than me turns up soon.Vendeur: audiocavecardiff ✉️ (5.846) 99.7%, The turntable probably needs the additional phono stage. I think that if you were to feed that line out's from your tuner and/or cassette deck directly to the speakers via RCA cable they would probably work. I suspect the way to get the best out of the speakers would be to buy a separate phone stage for your turntable and feed the output of that directly to your speakers, completely cutting out the old integrated amp. I am not sure exactly what that means but that is 4x as powerful as your old integrated amp. The speakers claim to be "80 Watt bi amp". If you try the headphones output to active speaker idea and still have the hum or it does not sound right, I would suggest you immediately switch off, else you might end up damaging a good pair of active speakers. ![]() Just about any "cheapish" 8 Ohm speaker that does not need much current to drive it should be OK as the amp is only rated at 21 WPC. The better solution would be to find a pair of 8 Ohm "passive" speakers that are designed to work with that amp. If you used the phones socket on the front you would need a special phones to RCA type cable. You would be better to use the phones sockets on the back as a "standard" RCA cable should work with them. ![]() You might be able to wriggle around the problem for Christmas by taking the head phones output from the amp - there is one on the back as well as the front - and feeding that to your active speakers via an RCA cable. ![]() You need passive speakers not active speakers to go with that amp. Basic problem is that you have the *wrong* type of speakers for your amp. ![]()
